What we loved
Selene has a distinctly elevated vibe, refreshingly different from the typical Goan structure. While it breaks away from the traditional aesthetic, it still beautifully captures the tropical essence and makes the most of its surroundings. Flanked by paddy fields on two sides and a serene lake at the back, it immerses you in nature. Yet, it doesn’t feel like your usual Goan villa—it feels more like a Bali-style retreat, setting a new benchmark for Indian properties.
What stood out most to us was the thoughtful design, which is no surprise given that it is part of Dolly J Homes. Every detail, from the furnishings to the wallpaper, reflects a designer’s eye. Each room seamlessly opens up to a patio or balcony, letting in lush greenery and natural light. The layout strikes a perfect balance between open, semi-open, and enclosed spaces, allowing you to enjoy the villa in every mood and moment.
The minimalist white architecture creates stunning backdrops for photographs and gives off a distinct vacay vibe. And then there are the many charming sit-outs. You could enjoy your morning coffee in one, your afternoon chai in another, sip on sundowners elsewhere, and still have a different corner for your nightcap. It’s the kind of place where every moment feels like its own special ritual, letting you experience Goa at its finest.
